Trainspotting:Marketing.

The poster for the film trainspotting doesn't really gives us much of a clue about what the film is about. The only thing it shows to us or makes us read from the poster is how different they are from each other by the way they have posed and the costume and make up that they have on.The poster of the film makes i more of an 'Dont judge a boook by its cover' type of movie as the name of the film doesn't give anything away and neither does the image of it.There is no target audience that has been given but from the poster we can see the ratig that has been given for the film which is 18 and over. This tells the audience that the film is quite of an explicit film. The unique selling point of this poster is the characters rather than the title. As the characters are standing out more than the title is the audience might recognise the charcters from another movie and that may draw the audiences attention to the poster to watch thte film and see what it is about. The other unique selling point on this poster is the little bit that is in black text that says from the makers Of shallow grave.Shallow Grave could of been a good movie to the audience that had watched it and so the idea they want the audience to get is that if the Shallow Grave movie was interesting and good then 'Trainspotting' will definetly be good as it is being made by the same people who made Shallow Grave. What can also attract the audience to watch this film is the fact the title and the image clashes together as they don't seem to have anything to do with each other. The audience would of expected to see an image of a train to atch with the title. However there is no image of the train so it makes the audience think why are there funny looking characters with the title 'Trainspotting.'
